Topps Unveils Tom Brady’s Unique Baseball Card in 2023 Bowman Draft

Topps is shaking up the trading card industry with their upcoming release of the 2023 Bowman Draft Baseball collection. This time, they’re featuring a surprising addition to their lineup – none other than former NFL star Tom Brady. Known for his incredible football career, Brady was also a talented multi-sport athlete during his high school days. Now, he’s making waves in the baseball card world as he will be seen on these unique cards donning a Montreal Expos jersey.

The special series includes a total of 81 autographed cards of Brady, adding an exciting twist to the collection. To build up the anticipation, Topps has planned to release an amusing video soon. Some glimpses of the cards have already been shared on social media, and one in particular has caught the attention of fans. This specific card features Brady with an inscription that hints at his alternative path in sports, humorously suggesting that if baseball didn’t work out, he always had football as an option. In addition to this playful inscription, there is also a French tribute to the Expos, further paying homage to Brady’s time with the team.

The highlight of this collection is an autographed card numbered 12/50, a clear reference to Brady’s iconic jersey number. This card has already caused a stir in the market, with a private collector offering an impressive $500,000 for it. But that’s not all. There is also a rare 1-1 SuperFractor auto card, making this collection even more valuable and coveted among collectors.

What adds to the intrigue of Brady’s inclusion in this collection is the fact that he is the last Montreal Expos draft pick to retire from professional sports. After the Expos relocated to Washington, D.C. and became the Nationals in 2004, Brady’s draft pick remained an important part of Expos history.

Collectors can look forward to getting their hands on the 2023 Bowman Draft in two formats: Hobby and Jumbo. The Hobby format will include three autographs per box, while the Jumbo format will offer an impressive five autographs. The official release date is set for Tuesday, December 12, but some boxes have already made an early appearance. Hit Factory Sports Cards in Arizona unveiled a non-signed Brady card, causing even more buzz around the collection. Meanwhile, autographed Brady cards have started to surface on eBay, generating excitement among fans and collectors who can’t wait to add them to their collections.

Brady’s unexpected presence in the 2023 Bowman Draft Baseball collection is sure to turn heads and ignite passion among sports card enthusiasts. With his signature on these cards, Brady’s legacy as not only one of the greatest football players but also as a talented baseball prospect is celebrated and immortalized. It’s truly an exciting time for collectors as they eagerly anticipate the release of this unique and highly sought-after collection.
